I’m always searching for new places to take my children, and feel so fortunate to live in this amazing city full of different places for them to experience – but I’ve always struggled to find somewhere closer to home in South East London.

After I had my daughter, I faced a new challenge of finding somewhere for both of my children to enjoy; A place where my toddler son would be safe to run wild (at full speed!), but also somewhere that I was able to give my newborn that special attention they all need.

Having been a primary school teacher for 7 years, I’ve always believed that educating and encouraging inquisitive minds stems through play and active learning.

I love spaces that are full of light and colour, but at the same time make me feel relaxed enough to forget about life’s everyday stresses! A place where I can indulge myself just a little bit (!), where I feel my little ones can run riot in an environment that is clean and safe, and where I can be alongside them encouraging their play and understanding.

The Apple Tree concept was founded with this in mind, and whether you’re coming to check out the climbing frame, the ever changing role play area, or just to have a delicious coffee – I can’t wait to welcome you all!

We’ve worked hard to create a menu that caters for the little ones, and the older ones, using the best local suppliers. Our coffee is from the environmentally friendly, ethically traded VOLCANO COFFEE WORKS, and our fruit and veg is from Herne Hills very own Seasons.
